After an early breakfast in Moshi, drive to Lemosho Gate for registration. Begin trekking through pristine rainforest with chances to spot monkeys and birds. The trail is gentle, allowing the body to adapt gradually before reaching Mti Mkubwa Camp for overnight.

Remote rainforest start and peaceful trekking environment.
Hiking time: 3–4 hours.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650 m) – Shira 1 Camp (3,500 m)

Leave the forest behind and enter the moorland zone. The landscape opens dramatically as you ascend toward the Shira Plateau, offering views of Kibo Peak. Reach Shira 1 Camp in the afternoon for rest and acclimatization.

Highlight

Transition from forest to open moorland and wide plateau views.
Hiking time: 5–6 hours.

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp (3,500 m) – Shira 2 Camp (3,850 m)

Acclimatization walk with scenic plateau landscapes.
Hiking time: 3–4 hours.

Highlight

High-altitude acclimatization and dramatic Barranco scenery.
Hiking time: 6–8 hours.

Day 5: Barranco Camp (3,960 m) – Karanga Camp (4,035 m)

Barranco Wall climb and glacier viewpoints.
Hiking time: 4–5 hours.

Day 6: Karanga Camp (4,035 m) – Barafu Camp (4,640 m)
