Lake Manyara

After breakfast at your hotel (around 7:30 AM), your Golden Path Expeditions safari guide will meet you at reception. Shortly after, you’ll set out for Lake Manyara National Park and begin your first game drive by 10:00 AM.
This lush park, nourished by groundwater streams, is famous for its birdlife — including colonies of pink flamingos — and for its diverse African wildlife thriving in forest and savanna habitats.
At midday, you’ll stop at the scenic Maji Moto hot springs, where your guide will serve a freshly prepared lunchbox. The safari continues through the afternoon, before you’re transferred to your lodge in the evening to rest and prepare for the next day’s journey to Ngorongoro.
Important Safari Guidelines:
Remain inside the vehicle at all times, except in designated areas.
Off-road driving is not allowed, as it harms the park’s ecosystem.
Smoking is permitted only with care; never discard cigarette butts in the bush.
Please avoid placing feet on the seats or sitting on seat backs to preserve the vehicle’s condition.
Thank you for helping us protect Tanzania’s national parks while enjoying your adventure.

DAY
Ngorongoro Conservation Area

To make the most of your safari, we recommend an early start, as many animals are most active in the morning. Breakfast can either be served at your lodge or prepared as lunchboxes to enjoy on the way. At 7:00 AM, your Golden Path Expeditions guide will take you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Within an hour, you’ll descend into the world-famous crater.
Ngorongoro is renowned as one of Africa’s natural wonders, boasting the highest density of wildlife per square kilometer. Here, you may encounter elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and large predators such as lions. With luck, you could also spot rare species like caracals, servals, and even the endangered black rhinoceros.
Around midday, you’ll pause by the crater’s lake for a scenic picnic lunch. Afterwards, you can choose to continue exploring the crater or begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving by evening.
